A diverse and dynamic program built around the superb Horszowski Trio: Mendelssohn’s Trio in d minor, Shostakovich’s 1940 Quintet for Piano and Strings, and Mozart’s string quartet, in E-flat major, k. 428.
Hoszowski members Rieko Aizawa, piano, Jesse Mills, violin & Raman Ramakrishnan, cello will be joined by Jonathan Ong, violin and Jonathan Bagg, viola.
Since its founding in 2011, the Horszowski Trio has been greeted with ecstatic receptions everywhere they play, including at Electric Earth Concerts, where they have been an integral part of the festival’s yearly schedule. Jonathan Ong is founding first violinist of the Verona Quartet, which in two short years has gained top prizes at the Wigmore, Coleman, and Chesapeake, Fischoff, and Osaka chamber music competitions.
