Vivaldi’s Four Seasons with Jesse Mills, violin

Featuring Jesse Mills on solo violin, this will be Electric Earth’s first concert presented in the acoustically vibrant Park Theatre in downtown Jaffrey. Vivaldi’s perennial favorite comprises four concerti that are also musical evocations of spring. summer, fall, and winter. Tracing natural sounds throughout, The Four Seasons is one of the earliest and most detailed examples of what is sometimes called program music. It is also among the most thrilling works for solo violin in the repertoire, written by Venice’s “Red Priest,” violin virtuoso and composer Antonio Vivaldi.

Mills will be joined by violinists Jenny Elowitch & Kako Miura, violist and Artistic Director Jonathan Bagg, cellist Robert Burkhart, bassist Jered Egan and Chris Urquiaga on keyboard.
