EEC fans will remember Merima Ključo’s riveting performance of The Sarajevo Haggadah last year. And now for something completely different–she is joined by her friend and colleague, Jelena Milušić, in a performance of songs from their new album Lume, illustrating love’s many phases—from passion to despair. Inspired by melodies from Sephardic, Croatian, Romanian and Kosovar music.
Ključo is a frequent guest soloist with orchestras including the Scottish Chamber Orchestra, Netherlands Radio Philharmonic Orchestra and Holland Symphonia, and has worked with internationally renowned artists and ensembles such as Theodore Bikel, MusikFabrik and the Schönberg Ensemble.
Expressive and bold, Jelena Milušić is a singer who easily transforms her voice to the needs of various genres. Being fluent in different musical idioms ranging from blues, jazz, and rock to traditional Balkan and World music, she has performed in a wide variety of musical styles and settings.
