June in Jaffrey: “Trip to Nelson” Concert & Contra dance

It’s a Tripnic! Bring your picnic basket and enjoy dinner as you gaze onto the south side of Mt. Monadnock. At 7 come indoors for a concert of traditional music, which will flow seamlessly into a contra dance. Lisa Sieverts is one of the Monadnock region’s finest callers, with the ability to stimulate veteran dancers while making newcomers feel totally at home and confident.

Trip to Nelson is an energetic and innovative contra dance band, originating from the Nelson (NH) Monday night dance. Their music honors the character of traditional New England contra dancing, while adding contemporary elements that provide an invigorating communication to dancers.
