NOTE: CONCERT MOVED TO PETERBOROUGH TOWN HOUSE (NEXT DOOR TO BASS HALL) Electric Earth Concerts regulars know The Horszowski Trio well from their electrifying performances at EEC. Their violinist Jesse Mills moonlights as a jazz musician. Here’s your opportunity to hear another side of Jesse’s brilliant musical persona, with his other band, the Hope Quartet. Joining Jesse in the Hope Quartet are: Roy Nathanson, saxophonist, Curtis Fowlkes, trombonist, and bassist Tim Kiah. Roy and Tim have an illustrious history of playing together in the Jazz Passengers, which they co-founded. Tim and Jesse have performed together for fifteen years, and formed a band called Nurse Kaya. The Hope Quartet has been playing traditional concert venues and clubs; their music is a blend of jazz, soul, and classical. All members sing and play both original music and some covers. It’s a genre-bending experience, both sensitive and powerful. |
