Summer Serenades

The Septet in E-flat Op 20 of Beethoven, and Brahms’ Serenade in D major Op 11,  are both peak achievements from each composers’ youth. We present them on a concert that highlights the glorious sonority of winds and strings, filling the stage of the Jaffrey Meetinghouse in celebration the arrival of midsummer. The cast of stellar performers includes Trio Cleonice members Ari Isaacman-Beck, violin and Gwen Krosnick, cello; Benjamnin Fingland and Isabel Kim, clarinet; Olesky Zakharov, bassoon; Todd Williams, horn; and Jered Egan bass. Artistic Directors Laura Gilbert, flute and Jonathan Bagg will complete the ensemble.
